April 26, 2010 @ No Comments

Here is a WebApp called CanvasMol, which displays molecular rendering using HTML5 Canvas. The App displays molecules in draggable widgets with animations like rotation in X, Y and Z directions and gradient and color options along FPS display.

This HTML5 Experiment displays simple molecules like Chlorophyll, Cholesterol, Penicillin and TNT, carbons, crystals and Bio chemicals like DNA.

Such a functionality you can dream to achieve only with Flash. But not any more. It also allows import of PDB/SDF/MOL molecule definitions to render on the screen. Hit this link to see the application in action: CanvasMol
