LongTail announced the release of its beta JW Player for HTML5 video. This is yet another player developed using jQuery framework and supports functionality like fallback to Flash. The JW family already has video players for Flash and Silverlight.

LongTail video recently acquired Bits on the Run, a leading self-serve online video platform, and is planning to integrate it with its existing products.
